You’re right! That’s what it seems from this page at the new Sasmira publishing house, Glénat (priviously the book #1 was published by Humanoides Associés, more than 10 years ago!):

The editor of Mr. Vicomte says the publishing of the sequel is dued to 2010. Let’s hope it will.

By the way, the cover on your site is similar to the book “version nr. 1″ I’ve got in the portuguese translation.

Pedro, it seems the author has the series planned until the end, but somehow he got busy with other things and Sasmira wasn’t a priority anymore. Many fans already gave up hope to see a 2nd volume but I’m really crossing my fingers that 2010 might be the year of Sasmira: La Fausse Note.:)

I can confirm the portuguese translation of this book because I have it and it’s one of the best stories I’ve found so far in the comics world.

I don’t know why there wasn’t any sequel of this wonderful and promissing (should I say enticing?) story.

You are absolutely right, the research part was fun. I knew next to nothing about Mary Boleyn before actually reading this book.

TOBG was the only book I read by Gregory but now I’m really wondering if I’ll like the others, especially the one about Elizabeth I… Did you read it?

When I read my first PG book I too enjoyed the writing, but I do often wonder how a reread of one of those early books would go, because I certainly did struggle with some of the later books!

I’m not a fan of soap operas, but this book is like a soap opera. I read it for pure fun and it made me research the actual history, or at least as much as I could find.
Some of Gregory’s female characters can be very annoyinng or simpery, if you get my drift.
